Played first, CLIPT removes about 92.5% of the possible-answer list on average and scores 4.87 bits of information. Its first-turn information ranks #3,594 out of 14,855 Wordle guesses tested. It is not on the possible-answer list, but it can still be useful because of the feedback groups it creates.
Tried against 1,858 past Wordle answers, CLIPT left an average of 177 possible answers standing after the first guess. Its largest group in that replay came on July 9, 2026, when the answer was AMEND and 516 candidates survived.
