How the puzzle is scored
A few guesses are already on the board and only a small set of answers remains. Choose the option that performs best on the level's stated measure. Sometimes a probe is better than a possible answer because it separates the remaining words.
For each option, the puzzle shows the average number of answers it would leave, how it divides the remaining words, and the size of its largest feedback group. A short note explains the comparison.
Difficulty levels
- Easy. Choose the top-ranked second guess from four options.
- Medium. Compare how much each guess narrows the field.
- Hard. Choose the top-ranked legal hard-mode option.
- Expert. Minimize the largest remaining group, not the average.
- Blitz ⚡. 5 positions back to back, one run, one score.
