Played first, GUMMI removes about 77.2% of the possible-answer list on average and scores 3.19 bits of information. Its first-turn information ranks #14,424 out of 14,855 Wordle guesses tested. It is not on the possible-answer list, but it can still be useful because of the feedback groups it creates.

Tried against 1,877 past Wordle answers, GUMMI left an average of 543 possible answers standing after the first guess. Its largest group in that replay came on August 3, 2026, when the answer was REPLY and 1006 candidates survived.
