How the Queens helper works

Find justified moves and inspect how the entered constraints force each one. Work from the information you have already revealed; this helper does not fetch an official daily answer.

Results use the puzzle you enter; they are not verified daily answers. Your entries stay out of public URLs.

An original grid showing one queen, its excluded row and column, and the touching cells it rules out.
An original rule illustration: a queen excludes its row, column and touching cells. The separate region rule still applies. This is not a daily solution.

Original worked example

The placed queens remove columns 2 and 4. A queen may share a distant diagonal, but may not touch a placed queen. Check all row, column and region obligations together.

Separate a deduction from a possible completion

The helper checks the whole entered state. When enumeration completes, a move is reported as forced only if every valid completion agrees. If the bound is reached, possible completions remain available but no forced move is asserted.

Use the reason before opening the solution

Each move has its own explanation grounded in your rows, cells, clues or markers. Inspect one explanation, apply it in the original game and rerun. The full arrangement is in a separate closed section.
