Spotle helper

Filter artist leads from known nationality, genre and name clues.

Your puzzle

One per line: nationality = United States; genre = pop music; year <= 2000. Use = for a recorded match, != for a known exclusion, >= or <= for years. Missing claims remain unresolved.

* means any text; ? means one character. Leave blank for every title/name.

Extend coverage with your own checked facts. Header example: name | year | country | source. Then one candidate per line, comma-separated multiple values. Evidence links are displayed without being fetched.

How the Spotle helper works

Filter artist leads from known nationality, genre and name clues. Results show their reference coverage and evidence links.

Results use the puzzle you enter; they are not verified daily answers. Your entries stay out of public URLs.

Keep the artist definition consistent

A solo performer and a group are different entities even when the performer also belongs to that group. Match the name and source record before applying a nationality or genre clue. The bundled artists are performers from selected songs, not a copy of Spotle’s 1,000-artist roster.

Do not substitute inception for debut

A group’s founding year, its first release and its breakout recording can all differ. The reference’s earliest inception/publication value should not automatically become Spotle’s debut-year clue. Popularity and member count need a dated, checked table; neither is inferred from how familiar a name seems.
