Route from Greenland to Nicaragua
Hint 1
The first step depends on the small shared-island connection allowed by Travle. Do not try to leave Greenland through Europe.
Hint 2
Work south through North America, then through Central America. Five countries must be entered between the given endpoints.
Hint 3
The five intermediate country names begin C, U, M, G and H, in that order.

Why the answer fits
One shortest route is Greenland → Canada → United States of America → Mexico → Guatemala → Honduras → Nicaragua. Enter the five intermediate countries; the two endpoints are already given.
Travle explicitly connects Greenland and Canada through their shared ownership of Hans Island and its island-hopping rule. That first connection is the unusual part of this route.
The rest follows land borders southward: Canada–United States, United States–Mexico, Mexico–Guatemala, Guatemala–Honduras and Honduras–Nicaragua. Each missing intermediate country breaks the chain, so being geographically near the next country is not enough.
This route has six border crossings and five intermediate guesses. A shortest route should not be confused with the only possible longer journey through the same region.
