Independent puzzle helper

Waffle solver

Find possible targets from your letters and colours, then plan a next swap.

Your board stays out of public URLs. Results are computed from your input, not verified daily answers.

Your puzzle

Examples are original test boards, not today's official puzzles. Rows and columns in the input start at 1.

Five rows of five positions. Use dots only at the four holes.

Five rows: G for green, Y for yellow, B for grey, ? for a colour you have not entered. Put dots at the four holes. A yellow crossing may belong to either word.

Leave this blank to infer possible targets from your current letters and colours. Enter a known target when you want only a swap plan.

Enter each fixed cell as row, column, separated by spaces. Every entered green cell must already match the target.

To try target inference with the original example, load it and clear the known-target field. All calculations use your selected dictionary; a matching target is not a verified daily answer.

Dictionary and search scope

The local dictionary contains 4–15-letter words derived from SCOWL, with the site's exclusions. It is not the publisher's accepted list. Three-letter words need your own list.

Used only when you select Words I enter. Separate 3–48-letter words with spaces or new lines; up to 2,000 words.

A little help

Enter your current puzzle or load the original example. You choose when to reveal a word, move or complete solution.

How this helper works

Enter current letters and tile colours to infer possible complete targets, or supply a known target for swap planning. A yellow crossing belongs to its row or column; duplicate letters are allocated separately in each word. Both boards must have the same letters, including repeats, and every target word must be in the chosen dictionary. Classic five-by-five only; Deluxe and Number Waffle are separate variants.

Searches have fixed work and result limits. Correcting your input and submitting again starts a fresh calculation. No account, login cookie or paid model is needed.
